I have had a busy week helping members with their golf ahead of the season. We also have a new face around the professional shop. James Fletcher is with us for the summer season and will be part of the the professional staff through 2016.

The addition of James Fletcher will offer James Milligan more time to coach and give lessons. In addition to James Milligan's current lesson availability, he will be available for lessons on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. It is essential that James gains valuable experience of teaching the game in order to pass his examinations.

Many of you are enjoying your time with James and his 3 for £30 is an ideal offer ahead of the season. Call James on 01772 700022 to arrange your lessons. Although the weather has not been ideal golfers are venturing out and getting ready for the golfing season.

Below are the most common requirements at this time of year and the area of subject it relates to - Assisting with regain of a correct set-up and alignment. (fundamental)

Grip - What is the correct grip? For me the correct grip Is the one that is needed to control and help deliver a good face position at impact. (fundamental / directional) 

The take away (swing plane) 

Club Face control. (direction related)

Correct turn/pivot in the backswing (hugely misunderstood, just ask Derek Sanders) 

The shortgame has to be one of my favourite subjects and I guarantee I will improve this area of you game.

Junior Golf - Youth club starts this week! 

We want to grow and grow this and it's a fab way of introducing your child and their friends to golf. 

Time - Friday 6pm-8pm in The Academy.

As in previous years, we are hosting a number of company demo events. These are ideal opportunity to spend some time with brand experts and assess equipment choices between your current and new ranges. All of our demo days this year will be appointment only. This is a request of all companies as they want the focus of attention to be on you and not a range full of testers.
