Victory for Neil Gibson in the Foster Cup and his place in the Pro Am is secured. 

Neil took victory in the Foster Cup on Saturday with a great score of 4up against the course. 

This victory also secures his place in the Preston Golf Club team for our up-coming Pro Am on Friday, 22 July playing alongside myself and 2 other qualifiers. 

Qualifiers are being run alongside the next few competitions so don't forget to enter when you sign in.


Preston Golf Club Pro-Am 2016 

On Friday, 22 July we will welcome the PGA and the North Region top professionals to Preston GC. 

The professionals selected to play in this event are taken from the top 35 on the order of merit standings. 

These professionals will play alongside 3 amateurs to make up a team with 2 scores to count on each hole.

Would you like to play with a pro? 

New assistant professional Jonathan Salisbury would like to invite members to join him for 9 holes. 

Jonny has enjoyed getting to meet you all and would like to extend this introduction to playing a friendly 9 holes to assist him get to know you all better. 

Dates are available throughout June on Wednesday afternoons and you can book your place with Jonny at the professional shop next time you are in. 

Please support this fantastic opportunity and make Jonny feel very welcome at PGC.

Gary's Group Golf Classes for members 

We are running a number of group tuition sessions for members where Gary will discuss a number of themed topics over a number of group sessions.

- Stop slicing
- Seniors - 55+ 
- Sloping lies   
- Gain 10 Yards 
- Putting Clinic

You can secure your place on these sessions by calling into the pro shop and adding your name to the booking sheet in the professional shop.


Junior Development Programme  

Do you know any children that would like to try golf? We have the best facility, the best teachers and we have spaces available for our next 6 week course that starts after half term.

Golf guru Gary will deliver a session on Saturdays 11am - 12pm and we welcome all youngsters to attend. 

We hope the demand for these sessions takes off and can add further groups to our current session which take place on 

- Monday, 5pm - 6pm & 6pm - 7pm 
- Wednesday, 4pm - 5pm 
- Saturday, 11am - 12 noon 

- £30 for 6 x 1 hour sessions. 

We are currently drawing up a summer holiday day camp programme which be available to book soon.
