Modernising Golf's Rules
Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.
Please spare a couple of minutes to complete our survey, which gives you the chance to have your say on the proposed changes.

That's great to hear that your pro shop is lower on price than the highstreet store…..
On the down side, it was a PGC member asking AMG to match my price and bought them from the highstreet!
Oh well, the mind boggles!
We Have Had a Change Around In Store!
We have swapped the layout of the shop around this week, in doing so we are trying to create defined product areas within the pro shop to help make retailing easier.
We still have deliveries due from a number of suppliers before we are fully stocked but the shop is looking full already.
We now have an Under Armour focus area which looks fantastic and a new Ladies area in store.
We took delivery of two brand new footwear products this week and these are being received really well.

Ahead of the 2017 season we have a grip specific area now installed in the pro shop.

We also carry a wide range of the latest putter grips from Golf Pride and SuperStroke.
If you would like us to check your grips to see if they need replacing or check they are matching thickness for your hand size, pop in and ask a member of the team.

Trophy Finds its Home Again
First Presented in 1893 the Presidents Cup returned to its original home at Preston Golf Club.
Lost or stolen but home at last for our 125th year after been missing for over 50 years.
All the way from Wigan
Once again all of the team have been busy helping members and range users improve their game.
On Monday we held our "test and tips" putting evening which was enjoyed by those who attended.
Gary and I assisted golfers with their putting strokes, advised on putter length and also matched putters to individual strokes.
We had one young man come all the way from Wigan to gain some FREE help with his putting.
Here is an image of his new set-up to suit a face balanced putter after we had helped him.
Thanks to all who attended and good luck on the greens for 2017.
Gary improves wedge play with better technique
Struggling with bad strike, distance issues and low confidence Gary picked my brains about how to enhance his up and down ratios. The image shows improved weight position after impact and left arm stability.
The results were magnificent!

Taster Day - Sunday, 2 April
We are holding a ladies taster day for new or inexperienced golfers who may wish to give a golf a go!
This day will form stage 1 of our lady specific programme and all those who attend will be given the opportunity to join stage 2 and stage 3 of our fantastic programme.
