Sides' Match Success Stories
On Saturday we were blessed with glorious sunshine for the opening sides' match which sees the Captain's team take on the Vice Captain's team.
84 golfers got to play the course at full length for the first time since autumn. For me, it was my first game for some time so was a little rusty but never the less, it was great to get out and play golf in the super company of Captain, Vice and President.
Captain and I got a good thumping from Steve and Brian. Our Vice Captain has been in a rigorous winter swing building exercise with Guru Gary, our teaching pro and boy, what a difference!
Steve played some super golf and only dropped 10 shots to par off a handicap of 16.
As you can expect, the handicaps committee are taking a closer look at this handicap!
We had the official opening of The Hut staffed by Viki and Dave and I must say, the members and guests at PGC are going to get a much improved offering down there so well done guys.

Sean Joins The Team At The Academy
Sean has recently attended Myrescough College studying golf level 2 and plays off a handicap of 8.
Sean is looking forward to meeting you all and getting to know you better, please pop by and say hello.

We are holding a ladies taster day for new or inexperienced golfers who may wish to give golf a go for FREE .
Itinerary:
- 2pm - Meet and greet at The Academy
- 2.15pm - Tuition and practice on the driving range with Golf Professional
- 3.15pm - Facility Tour 3.30pm Coffee with Lady Vice Captain and what happens next discussion.
- 4pm - Close of session.
