Pro's Christmas draw

Ladies news

The ladies get festive

On Tuesday 20 ladies dressed to impress for the Christmas Turkey shoot event.

A beautiful crisp and frosty morning saw them play over 9 holes ahead of festive fun and frolics in the clubhouse afterwards.

There were some great outfits on display as shown in the picture.

Thanks to all involved, a great day was had by all.

Winter golf

Pro Winter Series - Week 2 cancelled

Snow forced us to cancel week 2 of the pro series event.

Not good for gold but the kids enjoyed the conditions!

Wrap up and play in a series of golf events throughout the winter, these making an ideal choice for the competitive golfer wanting to keep his eye in and enjoy some fun formats of play.

These are competitions organised by the professional staff and are not official club comps.

Note – 100% of all entry fees are paid out in prize winnings.

Week 1 – November 25th - 4BBB 2 scores to count on par 3's – course closed – comp cancelled
Week 2 – December 9th - Greensome Pairs - course closed – comp cancelled
Week 3 – December 23rd - Individual Stableford

Week 5 – January 6th - 4BBB 2 scores to count on par 3's & 5's
Week 6 – January 13th - Individual Stableford

Week 9 – February 10th - Individual Stableford

How many do you carry?

Some people like to load the top end of their bag with a driving iron or a couple of hybrids, whereas we know others prefer to give themselves more options at the bottom end, carrying several wedges to cover different yardages and shot types. Which one are you?

Crunch the numbers

As the chart above helps highlight, when you break down the number of shots you hit with various clubs during a round, it’s clear to see why your wedges are so important. Giving yourself more options in this area will ensure that you’re covered for every scenario and distance.
