It is that time of year when we get more enquires from golfers looking to join us.
Council would like you to get behind a membership drive and as a result, earn £225.00 when you bring a new face to our full membership category.

A new extended membership referral scheme is to be introduced in which existing members’ may benefit for three years provided that the new member they have referred, is in the category of ‘Full’ membership and continues to maintain their membership each year.

For a member referring someone for full membership, they receive an incentive over a three year period to be paid to the member’s bar card

- Year 1 - £100.00
- Year 2 - £75.00 provided the new member re-joins
- Year 3 - £50.00 again provided the new member re-joins

Course news

A Busy Week on The Course

The greens team have carried out all of the required works on the course this week. In order to maintain and enhance the playing surfaces of greens, fringes and tees.

All greens have been hollow cored using 13mm diameter tines before being deep scarified using 4mm wide tines to a depth of about 20mm. The greens then over-seeded using bentgrass seed and top-dressed using approximately 30 tonnes dried top-dressing, then brushed with a tractor-mounted brush. Greens will be fed and watered to try and add quicker recovery.

The club would like to thank you for your co-operation this week whilst the works were carried out.
It takes between 14 -21 days for the new seed to germinate and greens to recover. The work we do is completely necessary to continue to have good greens.

Junior news

Adam Scott Trophy 2019

The grand finale of the junior season, The Adam Scott Trophy was played for on Sunday. This is the one that our juniors strive to win and we are very fortunate to have the support of Adam and Titleist and for their continued generosity.

And not forgetting parents and family who caddied for the players, this makes the event feel even more special. Congratulations Joseph and to all competitors.
