It is that time of year when we get more enquires from golfers looking to join us. BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP TOO!

Council ask you, the membership, to get behind a membership drive and as a result, earn £225 when you bring a new face to our full membership category.

A new extended membership referral scheme is to be introduced in which existing members’ may benefit for three years provided that the new member they have referred, is in the category of ‘Full’ membership and continues to maintain their membership each year.

For a member referring someone for full membership, they receive an incentive over a three year period to be paid to the member’s bar card

- Year 1 - £100
- Year 2 - £75 provided the new member re-joins
- Year 3 - £50 again provided the new member re-joins

A New Events - Golf Clubs 4 Cash Trade-In Roadshow

Here is a date for your diary...

Bring your old golf clubs to the pro shop between 3pm and 8pm.
Your clubs will be valued by a GC4C.

If you are happy with the valuation, the clubs will be taken away and funds paid into your customer account in the pro shop. So have a look in the garage, shed, locker and boot of the car and dig out old putters, woods, wedges and irons.

2019/2020 Indoor Simulator League

Here are the details for our 2019 / 20 indoor league.

Great value – 8 x 1.5-hour sim sessions for only £49 per person.

As winter approaches I would like to offer you the chance to enter our indoor winter league. Short days, dark nights, cold and wet, well don’t worry as you can keep your competitive edge this winter with our indoor event.

Our Winter League is an indoor league running throughout the winter from now until it's completion in March. You and your partner will play 8 courses over winter to fight your way to the top of the league table.

What is the format?
The format is Pairs better ball Stableford.

Full Handicap with a Maximum of 24 for Men. 36 for Ladies.
You score as many points as you can over the winter to make the Grand Final Play-off held in April 2020.
The top 4 teams will battle out in the Play-Off to become eventual winners.

Who can play?
The league is open to members and guests. Mixed teams, junior and adult teams, junior teams, male and female teams.

How do I book and when can I play?
If you join up now you have 6 months to play 8 x 9 hole events. You can book these at your leisure via our staff in the Professional Shop. You are given 90 Minutes per course.
You can play anytime except Tuesday (pm) and Friday evenings (subject to Academy opening times)

What's new for this year?
Rough - We will apply the rough setting for this series, if your ball is in the rough it won’t just be a case of blast it back to the green!
Wind – light wind will be applied at set up.

SIMULATOR PLAY – MIDWEEK MORNING MEMBER OFFER 25% OFF

2 HOUR - We have introduced a midweek only, morning offer.
For 2 hours hire (enough time for 3 or 4 players to play 18 holes)

Which do you prefer?

Golf apparel is famous for taking a bit of a knock from other sports and, in all honesty, in years gone by, it did deserve it. However, today’s golf-specific clothing often sets the tone for smart, high-performing sportswear that is versatile enough to be worn anywhere.

Spot the difference

If you've ever been to a fancy dress party, we're sure you would have seen someone dressed as a golfer from the 19th century - plus fours, knee length socks and flat caps.

Spotlight | Callaway JAWS MD5 Wedges

What we love most about Callaway is that each time a new product comes out, it performs better than the one it replaces in the range - something we certainly noticed in the latest Mack Daddy wedges.

Last time out they introduced Groove-In-Groove Technology, which is proven to produce more spin on your wedge shots. Now, they've combined this with a JAWS groove design for even more spin around the greens!
