Here are the details for our 2019 / 20 indoor league.

Great value – 8 x 1.5-hour sim sessions for only £49 per person.

I would like to offer you the chance to enter our indoor winter league. Short days, dark nights, cold and wet, well don’t worry as you can keep your competitive edge this winter with our indoor event.

Our Winter League is an indoor league running throughout the winter from now until it's completion in March. You and your partner will play 8 courses over winter to fight your way to the top of the league table.

What is the format?
The format is Pairs better ball Stableford.

Full Handicap with a Maximum of 24 for Men. 36 for Ladies.
You score as many points as you can over the winter to make the Grand Final Play-off held in April 2020.
The top 4 teams will battle out in the Play-Off to become eventual winners.

Who can play?
The league is open to members and guests. Mixed teams, junior and adult teams, junior teams, male and female teams.

How do I book and when can I play?
You have until the end of March to play 8 x 9 hole events. You can book these at your leisure via our staff in the Professional Shop. You are given 90 minutes per course.
You can play anytime except Tuesday (pm) and Friday evenings (subject to Academy opening times).

What's new for this year?
Rough - We will apply the rough setting for this series, if your ball is in the rough it won’t just be a case of blast it back to the green!
Wind – light wind will be applied at set up.

CUSTOM FIT, GAPPING AND COACHING AT PGC – THE BEST IN THE AREA

GAPPED TO PERFECTION

In my recent survey, 46% of you indicated that you had not had a gapping session. Being GAPPED allows us to check distances of all the clubs in your bag. Why do this? Often we see that golfers do not have meaningful loft gaps/distance gaps between sections of the bag.

This morning I had a session with a golfer from Kendal who complained of poor wedge control. Testing resulted in us discovering that across his current 3 wedges he had a distance range from 100yds to 82 yds. He hadn’t had his lofts checked and was alarmed to find that only 7 degrees of loft separated his 3 wedges.

We progressed into the session and found that a 50, 54 and 58 wedge range resulted in gapping that would allow him to operate in a much better manner. See below for our findings.
